The Onion's Story...
Some times I wonder, how come many people have different mindsets and different behaviors ! You must have observed that when you become anyone’s friend; there is a certain limit to which you can peep into your friend’s mind.
There are some people who let you know everything about them-the very first time they meet you; then there are some people like-no matter how many years you spend with them you can’t guarantee (guess) their behavior. So how come people show off different behaviors at different times? For this I have thought on a small story…
The Onion's story…
Whenever I get onion for any of my meals; the layers it has got always fascinate me. I think that every person has various different layers of minds just like onion has its own layers. So when you try to pierce an onion with knife or say needle you are easily able to pierce it till its center, because it can’t resist your action.
But people have got resistance power within them. So that when someone tries to peep into their mind, they just show up the upper layer to them and restrict their entry till there. I think for every layer of a mind a person has got a different behavior associated with it. So now when you become anyone’s friend; then that person will initially allow you till the outermost layer, then as you get to know him/her better-automatically the next layer will be open for you; and thus you will know a different shade of his/her behavior. Similarly when you get more and more closer to them you get to know all their good habits as well as bad habits. Ultimately when you reach the innermost layer - that time you have gone through all his/her behaviors and so obviously you are able to predict every action of that person in any circumstance that my come ! So that time you say that you are his/her best friend or you know him from top to bottom.
But…imagine a person who has got the power to show off his only outer or second layer of his/her mind (behavior). So irrespective of the time you spend with them; they just show all the shades of their behavior within that one or two layers. And you are in a false impression that you have known that person completely-just because you spend every waking hour with them! But the fact may be that he/she may be able to show different behaviors in front of different people and under different circumstances!!
But only those persons know what they have got inside them!! I think these kinds of people are very difficult to judge.
